The Shiatsu is a traditional hands-on therapy originating in Japan and taking its sources from the traditionnal Chinese medecine. It is officially licensed in Japan by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The practician applies pressure on specific points (the same as used in accupuncture) along the body meridiens, in order to facilitate the circulation of the energy. Palms , fingers, and especially thumbs are being used to apply the pressures.
Quite often, some Shiatsu pressures are integrated in our other massages in order to stimulate deep energy circulation and to enhance the effect of the massage.
The Shiatsu is also the base for the Chair Massage, as this is originaly the last sequence of the Amma (traditionnal acupressure Japanese art) the is aplied using an ergonomic chair.
A complete Shiatsu massage will last for around 2h30. It is practised lightely dressed up or only with underwear on a mattress directly put on the floor.
As we are only giving well-being relaxation Shiatsu, and not therapeutical Shiatsu, it is possible to adapt the duration of the massage according to your needs (between 1h and 2h30).
